Usually placed in squads of (human) Regulator troopers under the command of General Ragma, they were commonly referred to as the "cannon fodder" of the Regulator forces.

Often fought up against RCF (Roaches Coalition Forces) and Tier-1 resistance groups during the Badlands Conflicts (2049 A.D. - 2053 A.D.) Many Skirmishers were slain in combat during this time period; quite a few more being captured and tortured by Tier-1 forces. This was ] mostly due to Tier-1's resentment of anything non-human. 

Almost all traces of the Skirmishers were nearly wiped from existence during the great "Dragon Purge" (2054 A.D. - 2055 A.D.), in which Tier-1 remnants sought to slaughter and exterminate all Draconian species, under Regulator command, from the face of the Earth.
